Claude Is Eating the World

The last thing I need right now is another news website to run. But here we are.

How It Started

My other site, ChatGPT Is Eating the World, is practically a full-time job. And that’s on top of my real job. I started that site back in January 2023 just as ChatGPT was exploding a month after its launch.

I predicted then the flood of copyright suits we see now. Nearly 3 years later, the lawsuits have ballooned to 90 suits against AI companies, with no end in sight. We are now in the quagmire of litigation.

Given all the lawsuits that I track the old-fashioned way (without AI assistance), I have no time to spare on a whole new project.

How It’s Going

But here we are.

I decided to launch a companion website called Claude Is Eating the World.

For the past 3 months, on my social feeds, I’ve heard nothing but Claude, Claude, Claude, Claude Code, Claude, Claude, Claude, Claude Code, Claude Code, Claude, Claude Code, Claude, Claude, Claude Code …

But justifiably so.

Let’s take a look at the exponential adoption rate of Anthropic’s Claude:

Or consider Anthropic’s annualized revenue rate, which has increased 20 fold since December 2024:

Behind these numbers are the hugely popular Claude Code, which enables anyone to “vibe code” through natural language the creation of apps and computer programs.

Announcements of Claude updates have caused 3 different sectors–security, legal research, and COBOL–to see stock valuations of other companies immediately drop, out of fear of being overtaken by Claude.
